American Society of Clinical Hypnosis

The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) is the one organization out of the three listed here that offers Certification in Clinical Hypnosis. After 5 years of membership and clinical experience, the Certification as a Consultant is offered.  The Consultant can offer individual consultation for members seeking certification. 

An Annual Meeting plus additional regional  workshops are offered throughout the year.  Fundamentals of Hypnosis Workshop, Refining Skills and Treatment  Applications Workshop are offered at each regional training workshop. 

Upon completion of the Foundations and Intermediate workshops, members are eligible for Advanced Workshop training, which focus on a variety of topics.  Certification requires Beginning and Intermediate workshops in addition to Consultation. 

The ASCH Annual Meeting is offered in the spring.  The meeting is offered in a variety of interesting settings and cities  throughout the US.  Attendance usually spans from Thursday through Saturday or Sunday for a total of 20 CEs; however, attendants may earn 20 plus CEs at the Annual Meeting.  

Society for Clinical & Experimental Hypnosis

The society for Clinical Experimental Hypnosis (SCEH) offers an Annual Scientific Meeting every year.  Regional workshops are offered throughout the year.  Foundation,  Intermediate, and Advanced training workshops are available for training. 

All CEs earned through SCEH can be applied for ASCH certification and Consultation.  The SCEH Annual Meeting is offered in the fall.  Meetings are held at various locations throughout the US.  Twenty (20) CEs are also earned with attendance at the SCEH workshops.  Annual meetings may offer more than 20 CEs.
